OK, so I know I havent really kept to blogging everywhere but Ive just been soo busy. So here's how its going to work, I will blog about the States and Canada when I get bac to Australia because there is just soo much to write about, and from now on I'll blog Europe.
So, landed 4 days ago in Heathrow. That place was the easiest place to smuggle anything in to the UK if u needed to, absolutely no customs only immigration (and they didnt seem to understand that I was leaving Europe through Paris haha) anyway, this massive airport shocked me at the lack of security. The London underground was an experience, not knowing exactly where to go when I found that the express didnt go to the station I needed, I was forced to become wall paint and let all the friday morning commuters pass by (quite fast and quite aggressively). The train up to Chester was another one of Dicky Branson's, facing backwards and travelling close to 60 mph wasnt the best trip so far but nevertheless I made a nice contact with a lady from North Wales who has twins my age :D haha...
Now, North Wales, I finally met my second eldest cousin on mum's side Richard (who btw, is almost a spitting image and persona of Ryan!!! incredibly uncanny) I loved Richard and Carla's place, soo fantastically renovated. Met Richard's horny 16 y/o cousin Will, who commented on every girl in the photos with me as either 'SHE's FIT!' or 'I'd DO HER!' hahaha, but he was cool...Went clay pigeon shooting on my first morning which was awesome!!! Hit the first target believe it or not :D then missed bout 20 till i got my next bit ego bashing fun :P That afternoon my other cousin VIctoria took control of me and we visited Port Merion (such a quaint little Italian village) which was breathtaking, got maybe a few good snaps. That night had my first visit to an English (or Welsh lol) pub...1st impressions - incredibly quiet (well until my youngest second cousin Sandie arrived), nothing like back home. THen on the Sunday, Victoria and Simon (her husband) took the kids and I to Conwy Castle which was just absolutely fantastic. The castle and part of the town still had the original wall up, and we went for a walk all through the castle. While we were in Conwy, I was treated to a typical Sunday Lunch (when asked and not knowing what it was i replied, 'Well I dont want it on Tuesday if thats what you're asking!' somehow Victoria didnt find this very amusing lol :P) ALso, I saw the tiniest house on GB!!!! Very very small, it was closed but we got some photos from outside. Then, yesteday Richard and Carla drove me up to Holyhead to catch the Ferry over here to Ireland. We passed the village with the longest place name in the world, and some rocks in a paddock that were very similarly placed to those at Stonehenge (the age of everything over here is just soo old, stuff we just dont have un our part of the world!!) So now Im in Ireland (Kilkenny to be precise - a medieval village) staying with JP in his house which was built and designed by the same man who did the Whitehouse, and boy it feels as though I am staying in the Whitehouse!!! JP and Mary are fabulous people and incredible hosts!! Today I think we're off into the village but Im happy just playin it by ear. (I even have my own bar in my room!! =])
Soo, I think thats all so far for my UK trip...except I wish I planned more time for Wales, but I know i'll definitely be back there, possibly even for a summer job :D who knows lol
Hope everyone back home is well!!!
Peace...
